Our Anniversary

Well, it has been two years since Tim and I were hitched! Oddly the weather here today in Rochester is not that much different than the weather was in Augusta the day we got married. It is sunny, warm & humid. Even though Tim and I officially celebrated by going out to dinner on Saturday night, he took the time post-call today to go to a floral shop and pick out the most beautiful flowers for me! He knows how much I love white flowers, and he also knows that lilies and hydrangeas are some of my favorites. He also remembered that I carried some white lilies in my bouquet when we got married and his boutonniere was a sprig of hydrangeas. So he thought this would be the perfect bouquet to give me on our anniversary, and I must say I agree! He is so thoughtful! He really put some effort into this one, and I am so thankful for that! I hope we always love and appreciate each other as much as we do right now. He brought the flowers to my office so I could enjoy them all day, and he took me out to lunch. I wish you could put scratch and sniff pictures on the blog because these smell AMAZING! I know I say it a lot on here, but I am so blessed! To be in love with a man who treats me like a queen and is appreciative of me and of our lovely life together...what could be better than that!

Just Playing Around

6 Months

Well it has been a long journey to get here! It is hard to believe our daughter is 6 months old today. I have to say that so far this has been the most fun - the 5th month. Even though I only have 4 others to compare it to, she is so interactive now it is hard not to love this stage. Ella is usually such a calm, go with the flow kind of girl. She is very independent and can keep herself occupied for long stretches of time. She just loves to have new experiences of any kind. Right now she loves to listen to music especially with people singing, and she loves to touch faces especially mommy's and daddy's. She always goes for my mouth and Tim's nose. She likes to touch everything. She loves to get a sense of what something feels like in her hands. Even though she is having some trouble getting herself back to sleep at night when/if she wakes up, she is the greatest joy we have ever had. She makes me smile, laugh and think every day. We are truly blessed by this tiny person.

It's Official!

BEFORE...

AFTER

Ella is out of her swaddle...well at least for naps! We haven't quite gotten her out of it at night, but we are working on it. I know Grandma Sasso will be happy about this as she never liked "that thing" and didn't think Ella cared for it much either "being strangled" and all.

Yes that is a cat....

I opened the cupboard for two seconds to get out a coffee, and he jumped right in...if you know Hunter this is not all that rare, but since not many people believe me here is the proof!

Rolling Over - Tummy Time

I know it looks like I am helping her roll from her back to her stomach, and I am. More so on the second one then then first. She is working on it!

Mother's Day

I got beautiful roses and cards for Mother's Day! I am so blessed!

Lazy Sunday Morning - Monkey and Daddy

Sorry about the nearly naked man (and baby for that matter), but I couldn't resist her face in these pictures. She is getting such cheeks!
