A Birthday Party for Jesus!

A church around the corner from us held a birthday party for Jesus on Christmas Eve Eve. My friend Catherine invited Ellasen and I to go with them. Ellasen has been learning about the baby Jesus and how Christmas is his birthday so we decided it would be fun to go. They had lots of tables with crafts for the kids, a birthday cake and a dress up nativity station. We even sang happy birthday to Jesus. So fun!

Ortho Prom 2011

Tim's residency program has a Christmas party every year for all the residents, fellows and consultants. The event is a great chance to get dressed up, leave the kids at home and paint the town red! There was a great group in attendance this year, and we had an awesome time!

Cutie!

Tunnel

Ellasen got a tunnel from some of our good friends for her birthday, and she has had so much fun with it! It is a great indoor winter toy!

Buddies

Some of the girls and I went shopping on Monday for new dresses for the Ortho Christmas party. We had 5 kids with us! Ellasen and Witt (My friend Sari's son) are good buddies, and after lunch they decided to walk holding hands back to Macy's...so cute!

Snow!

Tim's mom sent Ellasen snow pants and snow boots for her birthday! They are the perfect gift because for the next 4 months (at least) we will have some snow on the ground here in Minnesota. We have actually been really lucky, and Saturday was the first significant snow fall of the year. So of course we put Ellasen's snow pants and boots on and took her out to play!

Winter Carnival

MFC, the organization that I am a part of here in Rochester hosts a Winter Carnival every year for Mayo families. It is a fun free event with games, food, sleigh rides, a bouncy house, crafts and a chance to sit with Santa! I have worked on it every year since we moved here, and it is a lot of fun! This year Tim was able to bring Ellasen. She had a great time playing all the games and getting prizes. She went on a sleigh ride, and she even told Santa what she wanted for Christmas (Thomas and candy). It was a fun morning.
