Snow! (Take Two)

We got some more snow last night and the girls didn't have school today. Tim is out of town interviewing and when he called this morning I told him about the snow. He said that I should shovel the driveway...sooner rather than later. I thought about that for a while, and decided javascript:void(0)that it would be much more fun to have the girls get their sleds and snow pants and let everyone sled down our driveway. I mean what is the point of having a super steep driveway that lands in a cul-de-sac (that doesn't get plowed until late afternoon by the way) if you can't sled down it! We had a great time and though the driveway eventually did get shoveled and salted this was a way better use of the fresh snow!

Gymnastics

There is a toddler group here in Rochester that does some cool activities for kids. The last activity they had was a free gym at a gymnastics center. I took Ellasen and she had a great time.

Christmas

I know I am a little behind on blogging about Christmas this year. It usually doesn't take much effort for me to want to blog, but this post has been hard. I was thinking today about why I was putting it off, and I think I have the reason. While we had a great time at Christmas with my family in town, it was one of the last happy memories we had of Titan. If you saw my previous post you will know that Titan passed away right after the new year. The toy that he ate that caused him to have to have surgery and that eventually led to his death was a gift from Santa in his stocking. To be honest, I haven't even looked through the photos from Christmas because I know Titan will be in many of them (I am going to try to avoid posting those photos and videos). It is hard to believe he won't be any of our family's future photos. We really did have a great time over Christmas, and I do want to do this blog post so we can look back and enjoy the photos and the memories. But this is inevitably a bitter sweet post for me to write.

My mom and dad and brother came for Christmas and we had so much fun. We decorated Christmas cookies and elf donuts (thank you Pinterest), we opened gifts, we ate lots of good food and drank lots of good drinks! I'll let the photos do the explaining from here on out.
