Christmas 2014

We had a great Christmas this year! We stayed in Atlanta and let family come to us. We have had a lot of family in and out over the last month, but we actually had our first Christmas morning with just our immediate family. I have never not been with my parents on Christmas so it was a little strange for me, but it was nice to have a very low key Christmas Eve and morning.

These two have grown and changed so much this past year. I can't believe the difference one year can make!
Our elf, Jennie, left us some "snow" on her last morning with us.

Tim had to work on Christmas Eve so Ellasen and I watched Christmas movies and did some baking!

Putting out cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer.

Santa came!

Eden and Everly's side

While I was changing diapers before we went downstairs Ellasen got into Eden's crib to play with her. So cute!

Reading the note Santa left.

Relaxing in her new chair with a Christmas movie!

Our holiday cake!

We had a wonderful few days with lots of gifts and lots of love! We missed my family, but we were glad to be starting our own traditions all together.

Monthly Update December

We have had a great month! Busy, but great!

The twins have learned to use sippy cups! We tried a few, but finally just a simple one with a straw worked the best. They get whole milk or water in them at meal time.

Ellasen was in a Carter's and Oshkosh fashion show in Atlanta. She got styled and had to walk the runway! She loved it, and she made $100!

Our elf "Jennie" returned on December 1st!

Jennie left Ellasen a note to clean out some of the toys she doesn't play with anymore to give to kids who may not have as much as she does. She filled up a huge bag and we donated it the next day together!

Jennie got some friends together for a tea party!

Jennie brought the girls their Christmas pjs this year!

Ellasen started a ballet and gymnastics combo class. She loves it!

We had parent watch day the other day...so cute!

My mom came for a week long visit! Her second day in town was her birthday! Ellasen and I made her a yummy cake!

We went to a paint your own pottery place. Ellasen painted a couple of ornaments and my mom made a tile with the twins' hand prints!

We also baked Christmas cookies!

We also took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium. Ellasen loved it!

This was an outfit of Ellasen's own creation. If one bow is pretty how can 5 bows not be fabulous!

Cuddle time with Gunner

While my mom was in town Tim and I had two Christmas parties to attend. We didn't get a picture of us before our first one (even though I wish we had because my outfit was cuter!) here we are before the second one. Both were fun nights out!

The girls and I went to visit Daddy at his office for lunch one day.
I love that the girls both have their index fingers in their mouth. Sometimes they are such twiners!

Tim's mom, Carol, came for a visit and to help us celebrate the twins' birthday. We had a great time, but unfortunately I only really snapped a few pictures!

Watching Ellasen's Christmas movie at school

Ellasen had her Christmas program at school on Thursday. The kids made a video and played it for everyone!  She did a great job!

We snapped this one before church on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday after church we had our annual gift exchange with our friends the Hornsbys. We have been doing this exchange ever since Little Eric was born, but it has always been by mail! This was the first year we could do it in person! Such a fun night!

A new leotard for ballet!

The twins each got a stroller for their baby dolls!

Building the gingerbread house!

Final product!

Ellasen and I went to a cookie decorating party in the city on Sunday at my friend Lizzy's parents' house. There were a ton of old friends there, and it was great to see every one and catch up! Everyone gets super into the decorating! So much fun!

We took the kids to see Santa on Sunday also! Ellasen did great and told Santa she wanted an Elsa and Ana blanket and an Ana doll. So sweet. The twins were not nearly as impressed. We pretty much got the classic screaming baby picture.
