Monthly Update January

So I seriously thought about just combining January's post with February's because there is just not much to talk about this month! I have been really bad about taking pictures and we just haven't been really doing much after the holidays! Here are a few photos of what we have been up to in January:

Here is a cute video of Eden laughing:

Eden and Everly enjoying pickles

Ellasen got a new ballet outfit

Ellasen and her friend Sydney are in ballet together

This is how Gunner spends most evenings after the kids are in bed

Everly wants to follow Ellasen all around the house. She loves it!

Here is a couple of videos of Ellasen and some friends at Catch Air, a trampoline place right near our house.

Seriously, that is pretty much it! We had a great New Years Eve with some friends, but I forgot to take any photos. Here's hoping February will bring more events worth blogging about!

Eden and Everly 13 Months

Eden and Everly 13 Months (Both girls have colds...again so getting a good picture was hard)
Eden and Everly are 13 months old today! Wow. Deep breath! This has been a really big month for the girls. A lot has changed for them in the last 30 days or so. The biggest change we see is that they are verbal sponges right now. Both girls are saying quite a few words. Many of the words might only sound like words to me, but I know what they are saying at least here and there so that is a nice change. Eden especially is picking up new words and even some phrases all the time. This is great for me because Ellasen had a very clear vocabulary by this age. I have been waiting for the twins to start realizing that they can use words to communicate. Some of the words they are saying are: All done, hi, uh-oh, I got, love you, Ella, dog, milk, book, num-nums, dada, and mama. Each girl says some words better or more clearly than others. They both say "ay-ya" for Ella and "guk" for book which I think is so cute.
Another big change is that they are having more and more fun with games. Everly will wave at everyone she sees everywhere she goes and at me every 30 seconds. Eden loves peek-a-boo and will use just about anything she finds to cover her face. Eden is also trying to blow kisses. She does exactly what Ellasen used to do when she was learning to blow kisses. Instead of putting her hand on her mouth she puts it on the side of her head. So cute, and it brings back a fun memory! "So Big" and dancing to music are both very popular as well.
Eden is also really getting fast at army crawling. She isn't 4 point crawling yet, but she is getting good at keeping up with Everly. We have a pediatric physical therapist coming to our home next week to get her started with some exercises to help get her crawling more traditionally. Maybe by our next post we will have two walkers! Everly is pulling up easily on everything. She hasn't really mastered cruising around furniture yet, but she has stood in the middle of a room by herself for a few seconds. As soon as she realized she wasn't holding onto any thing she fell, but it was cute!
I think I say this every month, but the girls are noticing each other more and more. They are sharing toys and laughing at each other. They babble back and forth when they are playing together. They are learning how to hug and give slobbery kisses.
The more mobile they get the more tired I get, but they really are so much fun! We are so glad they belong to us!

Here are some things we notice about both girls:
*They wear size three diapers
*They wear size 12-18 month clothes
*They are 28 1/2 inches tall
*They eat three meals a day
*They drink milk at each meal, and 4 oz before bed
*They nap twice a day 9-11 and 1-3
*They sleep from 7-7:30 at night
*They are both having a little trouble with me leaving them somewhere especially the church nursery
*They both have 4 molars plus other teeth
*They both have had ear infections now
*They love to ride in the shopping cart at the store
*They love lift the tab books
*They love Ellasen so much
*They don't take bottles anymore at all!

Here are some things we notice about Eden:
*She weighs 18 lbs 3 oz
*She is still very cuddly especially with me
*She loves to be held or sit on your lap
*She will fall asleep in your arms if you hold her a certain way
*She has 12 teeth
*She has hair that cannot be tamed! It is wavy in some places and pin straight in others.
*She loves Gunner (the dog). She buries her face in him and puts her fingers in his nose (gross). She also hits him a lot. We are working on being gentle.
*She loves soft baby dolls. She will snuggle them and kiss them.
*She likes television. We caught her watching the screen some and so we tried a Baby Einstein type show and she loved it. We have only ever put it on twice for her, but it is pretty cute.
*She gets frustrated that she can't always get where she wants to go
*She does not like to stand or put weight on her feet. (another thing we are having PT come for)
*She likes to throw everything out of her crib (paci's and lovies) if she wakes up before I get her
*She likes to put toys into things and take them out and knock over blocks
*Some of her favorite foods are: pasta, sausage, eggs, cereal bars, waffles, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, chicken nuggets, quinoa, spinach, corn, avocado, yogurt and pickles
*She just started almond milk because we are wondering if she might have a cow milk sensitivity. She likes it so far so if it makes her feel better we will switch Everly too.

Here are some things we notice about Everly:
*She weighs: 19 lbs 4 oz
*She is very independent
*She loves to crawl and be active
*She likes to crawl with things in each hand. She will also crawl sometimes while holding a third thing in her mouth. She has a plan.
*She is not super cuddly so it is so sweet when she is
*She could care less about baby dolls or the dog or the tv
*She loves to make noise by throwing toys on the wood floor
*She has 11 teeth
*She is getting more and more confident in standing
*She will eat anything you give her fistfuls at a time
*She almost never cries only if she is hungry
*She isn't usually afraid of strangers. She usually waves and smiles at everyone
*She would still sleep as long as I would let her
*She loves to crawl over things (my lap, the dog, her sister, a large toy or pillow) the higher the better
*Some of her favorite foots are: pizza, pasta, chicken, fish, quinoa, green beans, peanut butter toast, apple slices, kiwi, bananas, eggs, avocado, cheese, mac and cheese
