Monthly Update July 2017

July was another busy month at our house. It is hard to believe that we are getting ready for school to start next week! We have really tried to make the most of this summer break. The girls have all had summer camps to go to this month, and we have had Tim's mom here for her knee replacement most of July as well.

The month started off with a 4th of July celebration! We went to the pool during the day and grilled out and lit off fireworks with some friends. Ellasen and I made red white and blue food to bring. We made star rice crispies treats, fruit and marshmallow skewers and a strawberry, blueberry goat cheese salad.

The girls attended Fantasy Dance Camp this month. They got to go all together and they had so much fun!

The twins finally got big girl beds! We had taken the fronts off of their cribs a little while ago, and they did really well with the transition so we ordered them real beds. They took a while to come in, but they turned out very cute!

We went to Sweet & Sassy and got everyone a back to school haircut. So cute!

The twins have been going to Goldfish Swim School for a while now and they are really doing great! Eden is a total fish swimming farther and farther to me every time we go to the pool. Everly is still a little nervous, but she is doing great too!

The girls all went to Vacation Bible School this month too. They had a great time all together and they have been singing these songs all month!

Ellasen finally learned to ride a bike without training wheels this month! She worked really hard last summer, but never really made it happen. This summer it just clicked with a little practice! She is really proud! The little girls have been practicing with their balance bike too!

Ellasen got to go to American Girl camp through the Johns Creek Art Center. She got to make crafts and projects for her American girl dolls all week. She loved it! On the last day I got to see everything she made!

We commissioned a piece of art from a local artist in Atlanta a while ago and it was finally delivered and hung. We absolutely love it!

The weather has been rainy in the afternoons most days this month which is usually when we go to the pool so we have been enjoying afternoon snuggles and movies a lot this month. Moana is the little girls' favorite right now.

Ellasen lost another tooth this month. She is so sweet she wrote a thank you note to leave for the tooth fairy with her tooth!

Ellasen and Eden continue to be crazy sleepers. We take pictures of them when we find them in funny positions. We could probably make a book at this point.

She's asleep on her American Girl books

Tim and I go to the BB&T tennis tournament at Atlantic Station every year. We have a great time with good friends. This year we stayed overnight at the Four Seasons. It was a great night away!

Grandma's birthday is coming up soon so we decided to make her a cake for her last night with us!

My Uncle Terry, my dad's brother passed away this month. We wish we could have made it home for the funeral, but we sent flowers. He was a really cool guy, and he will be missed very much.
