Monthly Update September 2017

I know I say this a lot, but it really is hard to believe we got all of this in during one month! I seriously can't believe it! The month started off with Eden and Everly starting their school year. They are in the 3's classroom going three mornings a week this year. Their teachers are Ms. Meg and Ms. Kelly. They really seem to love it!

We took a day trip to Helen, GA with our friends, the Hornsbys. We had lunch at Troll Tavern, walked around town, danced to some live music and hiked up to Anna Ruby Falls. We had so much fun!

I started working on a new project this month! I am getting our garage made over. We use it so much because we don't have a true mudroom or a walk in pantry so I wanted to make it functional. We are having the lighting replaced, the whole thing painted including the floor and a number of functional built-ins added. I also wanted to make a storage area for the kids bags and shoes. I decided to make one of these because all the prices I got were so high. I thought I would give it a try. It is pretty rough, but I am happy with how it turned out!

Starting to look good!

Finally the shelf and bins are in place!

We also put up carriage door hardware on the outside, and greased all the hinges so the garage doors are super quiet now!

It is officially SEC Football season around here and we love to cheer on the Bulldogs as a family!
We watched the first game with some friends and their little Bulldog baby!

The next game was at Notre Dame and some friends of ours who live their and went their for undergrad had tickets for us! We decided to take the kids up to visit my family and go to the game! We spent a week in Michigan and my family watched the kids so Tim and I could go away for the night of the game. UGA won and we had a great time at the game and visiting family! We went apple picking with the cousins, we went to the zoo, we went to the beach, celebrated Uncle Jason's birthday and visited my grandparents a lot.

When we got home from Michigan the girls got a special invitation!

A few days later the girls got a scavenger hunt to look for clues about our upcoming trip and a few days after that we were off!
We stayed at Disney's Polynesian Resort. We went to the parks for three days.  Our friend Karen who works at Disney came with us to help out during those days. The kids were amazing, and we did about 12 hours a day of parks, rides, and characters!

When we got to the resort we checked out our awesome hotel, had some lunch and checked the kids into the kids club. They had an amazing time baking cookies, visiting characters and playing dress up while Tim and I had dinner, went in the hot tub, watched the Georgia game and had some drinks by the pool.

Day one we spent the whole day at the Magic Kingdom. We got to go to the park an hour before it opened and had breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. We met tons of princesses and the food was delicious. After breakfast we hit the park. Ellasen rode all the rollercoasters many times! She loved them! The kids met Mickey Mouse the the Main Street Theatre and all the Winnie the Pooh characters at lunch. We stopped rides for a little bit to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade in the afternoon. We had an amazing first day!

Day 2 was an early one! We got up for Extra Magic Hours at Animal Kingdom. Karen took the little girls on the Safari while Tim, Ellasen and I rode the new Pandora ride Flight of Passage. It was amazing. The line is always well over 2 hours, but we got right on because of Karen's connections and even got to ride it twice. Then we rode Expedition Everest before we headed over to Epcot. At Epcot we rode Nemo, Soarin and Frozen Ever After. Then we had brunch at Belle's castle with al lthe princesses again! Then we met Anna and Elsa and Christophe and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. Ellasen and Karen did a Food and Wine scavenger hunt around Epcot while Tim and I  sampled some of the food and wine and the twins napped in the stroller. We ended Epcot with dinner at the Garden Grill, a spinning restaurant where we met Pluto, Mickey and Chip and Dale! After Epcot we went back to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks and some more rides.

Day three we did Hollywood Studios in the morning and back to the Magic Kingdom in the afternoon. We rode Toy Story and watched Frozen Fever. Karen took the twins to do some more rides while Tim, Ellasen and I rode Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster a few times. We got to meet Doc McStuffins and see the Little Mermaid show. Then we headed to the Magic Kingdom to do everything we wanted one last time. After that we went back to the hotel for some swimming. We finished our day with dinner at the Grand Floridian with Cinderella and Prince Charming. They even did a little dance and Cinderella brought the glass slipper for the girls to see!

We had an amazing time! The girls were so good, and they are really at the perfect age to enjoy Disney World! We can't wait to go back!

Here are some other random cute pictures from this month!
