July 2018

Our last month of summer proved to be a busy one! We started the month with a 4th of July celebration at our neighborhood pool. Tim was out of town, but the kids and I had a great time.

While we were here in town celebrating the 4th, Tim was in California presenting his latest research paper to a crowd of over 1500 orthopedic surgeons. We are very proud of his most recent accomplishment.

The girls have been begging all summer to have a sleepover. We haven't ever really done a sleepover with friends before so I came up with the idea to do a "Sister Sleepover". Each of the girls got to choose a fun sleepover activity and I let them sleep all together in one room. We had so much fun!

We did some fun projects around the house this month. I stripped and restained our kitchen table.

And I recovered our bedroom fireplace...again...
and again...

Ellasen decided her summer project was to build a fairy garden. She came up with the plans and we got to work. She finished it up this month. I think it turned out so cute!

This month we headed down to Rosemary Beach for a week of fun in the sun! We stayed at an amazing house and my aunt and uncle joined us along with our regular babysitter and her best friend. We had the best time and we already can't wait to go back!

We also had family photos done while we were at the beach. We are so happy with how they turned out!

When we got back from the beach we had a super fun birthday party to go to at the local splash pad!

At the end of the month, my parents came to visit for a while. The kids have loved having them around.

I had my monthly girls' night with these pretty ladies! We always have so much fun catching up!

Tim and I went to the BB&T Atlanta Open tennis tournament for the 4th year in a row. We love to go to this tournament with friends and stay downtown. This year we got to go twice including to the final event in championships tent. We had a great time!

The girls had their end of the year swim party and the twins got to swim in one last mini swim meet.

Ellasen starts school August 2nd and so she got her teacher letter this month and attended open house. We are so excited for her to be a 3rd grader!

Here are some more random pictures from this month.

Picnic at the Durr's house

We have had an amazing summer and while I am not looking forward to the early mornings and the grind of the school weeks I do look forward to a more scheduled day.
