November 2022

 We had a big month here! Ellasen turned 13 this month. She is officially a teenager! We had a great time celebrating her this month. My mom and I took Ellasen and 4 friends to Great Wolf Lodge for an epic sleepover. The girls rode all the water slides, did a ropes course, got ice cream, and had the best sleepover in a huge suite. We also had a family birthday celebration on her actual birthday. 

We had some setbacks with the construction going on at the house this month. We got water in the basement addition again. So unfortunately progress stalled some so that we could get that repaired properly. Obviously not an ideal situation, but we're hoping for improvement in the upcoming weeks. 

I went to Chateau Elan for Vineyard Fest with some friends this month! We only took a few pictures, but we had a great time! 

I also had a girls' night with some old neighborhood friends this month! 

Everly's class had a chance to sing the National Anthem at the Lambert High School football game this month. Ellasen was sick so Eden and I went to cheer her on! So cute! 

Ellasen had the flu this month (Everly had strep too at a different time)! Poor kid, but Everly tried to take care of her! Such a sweet nurse! 

The house is fully painted now! We think it looks great! 

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at my dad's house since ours is under so much construction. I forgot to take a single picture! 

After Thanksgiving, we decorated for Christma! It looks a big more tame this year because of all the construction, but we still got our two main trees and Jennie still came! 

Overall it was a great month and we are super excited about December and the upcoming holiday season! Next month we celebrate my mom's birthday, and the twins' birthdays and we have some special visitors coming!

Ellasen Turns 13!

 

Ellasen turned 13 today! What a big birthday for her! We can't believe she is a teenager. Where does the time go? It feels like yesterday that she was that wiggly pink bundle of joy we brought home from the hospital. She is turning into the most lovely young woman, and we are so lucky that she is ours. At 13 Ellasen is in 7th grade at South Forsyth Middle School. She is in 4 advanced classes in school and she loves to learn. She struggles the most with math, but works hard and maintains an A usually. She loves Language Arts and reading the most. She brings a book with her everywhere and it continues to be hard to keep her in books. Her favorite thing to do is ride her horse. She works so hard at the barn with Sanford and she loves him so much. We are constantly surprised by her work ethic and dedication to this sport. She has been thrown, eaten dirt, and come up bloody and she gets right back on each and every time. She also loves to play tennis and was on her first team this year. She had a great time playing with her friends and we think she will continue next year. Ellasen loves her puppies and her sisters. She has so much fun hanging out with her friends. For her birthday this year Ellasen took three friends down to Great Wolf Lodge overnight. We had the best time riding. the water slides and doing the ropes course. Ellasen is so much fun at this age and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for her! 

At 13 Ellasen weighs 94.5 lbs and is almost 5 ft 4 inches tall. She got her braces off this year too!
