Rochester Shower

Thanks to all the girls for throwing me such an amazing shower! I am so lucky to have friends like you guys here in Rochester! I had such a great time! Thanks to everyone who was able to come! All the gifts were amazing and I know we will get so much use out of everything, but the greatest part was having everyone there to help celebrate! Along with opening gifts and eating lots of yummy food we played a fun baby bingo game. Everyone had a blank bingo card to fill in with things they thought I would get as a gift. If I opened something on the card you got to cross it off. The object was to get "bingo" by creating a capitol E. The girls also painted onesies for Ella. I was very impressed with the artwork! She is going to be so well dressed. Thanks again everyone! It was so much fun!

Grand Rapids Tea Party Shower

Thanks to my aunts and my grandma for throwing me such a fun shower! It was a tea party, and it was so much fun! We had tea and finger sandwiches and the cutest diaper cake ever! Thanks to everyone who could come. I had a fabulous time!

Nursery Progress 6

Shelves above the changing table!
Our new chair!

Here is our nursery! It is mostly finished as far as decorating. We still obviously need a lot of things for Ella, but her room is finished! The photographs in the room on the crib wall were taken by me. Tim gave me lilies this past week, and they were so beautiful I started taking pictures of them. I thought they would look great in the frames until we could get pictures of Ella to put in them! Overall we are very happy with the way things turned out!

Nursery Progress 5

My parents gave us these amazing custom painted letters to hang above Ellasen's crib. They took over 8 weeks to make and as soon as they arrived I hung them up. The colors and designs are perfect and make a great addition to our nursery! We also got the crib skirt so we can't see the crib springs anymore! Slowly but surely the nursery is coming together!

27 Weeks

I know it isn't that easy to see because I am wearing black, but trust me it is there! I am going in for my 1 hour glucose test on September 11. Hopefully I'll pass on the first try...if not I'll have to go back for a 3 hour test. The tests are to determine if I have gestational diabetes. Hopefully we will have good news!

Nursery Progress 4

The nursery is coming along. We got our crib put together the other day and we think it looks great in the room! I put on a sheet and the bumper just to get an idea of what they would look like. We have ordered a simple white dust ruffle that should be coming soon! Once we have that the crib will be pretty much done! We are still waiting on the chair which we will pick up in a few weeks. There are still some things to hang on the walls, but overall we feel pretty happy with the progress we have made!
To the right of the crib is the hamper and to the left are two baskets that are holding books and toys!

This corner is where the chair will go. We will probably have to space out the rest of the furniture a little more to make room. We ordered it so long ago we can't really remember how big it is! The pink ottoman opens so we can store blankets in there.

All the stuff on this dresser (except for the baskets) will either go on the wall or on a shelf we are going to hang right above the dresser. We are going to use the dresser for a changing table so eventually there will be a changing pad on top of it!

Photographer!

We have chosen the photographer to take pictures of Ellasen for her first year. Her name is Rachael and she has a great website. I am going to post the link here. She will take pictures of Ella as a newborn, at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year. Many of the agents in my office know Rachael, and she comes highly recommended. If you want a smile take a minute and look through the baby pictures on her website. She is very creative an artistic, and we know we will cherish the pictures she will take.
