Monthly Update October

Tim and I started off October by taking a little trip just the two of us! He had a conference on Sea Island which is about 5 hours away. My aunt and her friend watched our girls and Tim and I got three nights away together! The weather wasn't great so we didn't get to go to any of the many pools at the resort, but we managed to do almost everything else! We golfed, we played tennis, we spent and afternoon at the spa and we enjoyed many amazing meals.

We ate at Georgia's only 5 Star restaurant. We got all dressed up and had an amazing time! We forgot to take a picture until we were back in the room though!
While we were gone Aunt Di and Ms. Bobbi had a great time with the girls! They were a little too busy to take many pictures, but I had a sitter come one day to watch the twins so that they could take Ellasen for a special big girl day. They got their nails done, went out to lunch and painted pottery!

When we got back from our trip we took everyone to visit the pumpkin patch. We had a great time picking out pumpkins, feeding farm animals, riding the tractor, taking a hayride and feeding catfish!

I also took advantage of the extra hands to go get everyone a flu shot.

Tim and I had tickets to a Falcons game this month too! We love to go to sporting events together, and this was a super fun date day!

My gym hosted a Halloween party right next door at our neighborhood clubhouse. I thought it would be a good time to do a dry run of Ellasen's costume before trick-or-treating. I didn't have a costume so I threw one together last minute! I was Olaf from Frozen. Ellasen is a woodland fairy. I'll have to get some better pictures of her costume before trick-or-treating.

Gunner got a new bed this month. He still likes our bed better...

The rest of our month has been spent dressing up, taking selfies, being silly, cheering on the DAWGS and cuddling on the couch.

This picture has my whole heart in it!

Ellasen had crazy hair day at school. Here she is with all her bus stop friends.

We carved pumpkin together as a family! Ellasen and Everly loved scooping the guts out, but Eden wanted nothing to do with it. We had a great time and the pumpkins turned out great!

Tim's pumpkin is scary!

A friend of mine in our neighborhood hosts a ladies martini night every year around this time. I love the girls in our neighborhood!

We had a great time on Halloween! Ellasen is a woodland fairy and she asked for Eden and Everly to be her woodland creatures. I think they all turned out really cute! Eden is a fox and Everly is a bunny!

We went to our neighborhood Halloween party and then took the kids trick-or-treating. Ellasen was in heaven of course, and Everly did so great! Eden did a few houses with us, but she got tired and overwhelmed pretty quickly. Tim took her home where she was happy to help him pass out candy. Everly and Ellasen trick or treated for a long time! Everly walked every sidewalk, climbed every step and said trick-or-treat and thank you at every house. She loved it! I was so surprised. I thought she would make it a little longer than Eden, but not much! She would have done the whole neighborhood! She was such a trooper!
Heading out to our first house!

These two...finishing strong!

Ellasen and Tim headed to an after hours party in the neighborhood, and I just got this picture of her and all her friends having a pizza picnic. So fun!

October has been so much fun, and November is shaping up to be quite busy already! My parents will be here for almost two weeks over Thanksgiving, and Ellasen is turning 6!

Eden and Everly 22 Months

Eden and Everly are 22 months old! I will only do one more monthly post on them before they turn two. Not a lot has changed from last month really. I remember this with Ellasen too. The monthly posts get harder and harder to complete because almost two year olds just don't change that much in 30 days time. One thing both girls are really getting good at is eating out of a bowl with a spoon. Last month this was still a very messy undertaking, and while there is no doubt still some mess the girls are really getting pretty good! Both girls continue to learn new words and try new physical activities. Theyare still very different in a lot of ways, but probably the biggest difference is in their eating habits. Everly eats pretty much anything we put on her tray. She stops herself when she is full, but getting her full requires significantly more food than Eden. Eden is picky and will only try foods she has seen many times before. She dislikes certain textures even to the touch. She loves pasta, but does not like to touch it with her hands. Eden will only eat a small portion of even the foods she loves, and it takes very little food for her to feel full. Because of this the weight gap between the girls continues to widen. Everly is now almost a full 3 lbs heavier than Eden! Otherwise life is mostly the same for these two!

Here are some things we notice about the girls together:
*They sleep from 7:00PM -7:30AM
*They nap from 1:00-3:30
*They eat three meals and two snacks a day
*They love books
*They love to help me open boxes
*They love shoes. Theirs, Ellasen's, Daddy's, it doesn't matter whose really
*They love to go for walks in the stroller
*They love to play at the playground
*They love to climb up and down the stairs
*They love to make people laugh

Here are some things we notice about Eden:
*She can entertain herself really well
*She loves stuffed animals
*She loves Pooh Bear and Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck
*She can say part of the ABC's
*She can count to 10 sometimes with help
*She climbs on top of everything
*She weighs almost 21 lbs
*She loves to snuggle when she doesn't feel good or is tired
*She loves dogs
*She tries to stand in time out when Everly gets one
*She loves to have her picture taken. She also has a great "cheese!" face (see above picture)
*She loves pasta, carrots, strawberries, yogurt and turkey dogs

Here are some things we notice about Everly
*She loves to be held and carried around the house
*She is the queen of the temper tantrum
*She hits when she is frustrated
*She gets time outs quite frequently (see above)
*She can count to 10 easily repeating numbers
*She can say the ABC's with help
*She loves books and music and can request books and songs
*She weighs almost 24 lbs
*She loves to watch football
*She hates dogs
*She doesn't love to cooperate. With anything. (see above picture) Like if you asked her to play with her favorite toy, she would probably be super offended and and throw a tantrum to teach you a lesson.
*She loves most foods, but her favorites are crackers, cheese, chicken, fish, yogurt, pasta, pumpkin bread and sausage

I can't believe we are almost to their 2nd birthday! These girls light up our world, and we are so lucky they are ours!
