June 2021

We started this month with a trip to Michigan. We lost my grandmother last month and my grandfather in November so we finally felt comfortable enough to have a joint memorial service for them. Since they had been married for over 75 years it seemed very fitting to say goodbye to them together. We shared many memories, looked at countless pictures, and shed lots of tears. It was the closure we all needed.

In addition to the memorial service, we had some great family time. We spent tons of time with cousins, went to the beach, caught Elias's last baseball game, and spent lots of time catching up with each other.

When we got home we celebrated Father's Day! We went out to breakfast and to the aquarium!

After Father's Day, we had one last swim meet before it was off to Rosemary Beach for a week!

Before we left we let Ellasen go to the hair salon for some pink tips! She had a great year in school and was asking for over a year. It only lasted a few days, but she loved it!

Off to the beach!! We rode bikes, jumped waves, ate tons of ice cream, played bean boozled (our beach tradition), saw a double rainbow, ate at all our favorite places, and enjoyed time together! Rosemary beach is our favorite place!

Here are a few more cute snaps from this month. Next month we will celebrate the 4th of July and believe it or not start getting ready for the new school year!

May 2021

This month we celebrated the last days of school and the first days of summer! We can't believe Ellasen has officially graduated 5th grade and finished elementary school! So strange to think she'll be in middle school next year. The girls had a great time the last few days of school, and summer has officially begun with swim team and tennis camps kicking off a few weeks ago.

We started the month off by celebrating Mother's Day! The girls made me some breakfast, I got flowers and we took my mom out to breakfast!

My monthly girls' nights have resumed and we had so much fun!

We had a great time celebrating our Elementary School Graduate. We are so proud of this kiddo! She is so smart and kind. We are so amazed at the girl she is growing up to be!

These two kiddos celebrated 13 years of marriage this month. We went to Chateau Elan, a winery about 45 minutes from our house for the night. We had massages and did a wine tasting. We had a great time!

The swim team is well underway and we are very happy to be back at the pool after missing last year.

The girls are all continuing their riding lessons. We switched barns this month and we are very happy with the change.

The last day of school was awesome! We had our usual water fight at the bus stop followed by a pool party at a neighbor's house. Then Ellasen had her 5th-grade pool party with all of her classmates.

We also had a sad event this month. We lost my grandma and the girls' Gigi. She was just shy of her 100th birthday. I am so thankful for the life she lived and for the amazing grandma she was to me. I loved her dearly and so did my girls. She will be missed, but we are so thankful she is with my grandpa. I am sure he was waiting for her!

Here are a few more photos from this month! June will be full of pool time and tennis lessons and riding lessons. We are also heading north to Michigan for my grandparents' memorial. We are looking forward to seeing all of our family.
