New Skill

Ellasen pretty much knows all of her letters and numbers by site. She can count to 20 by rote memorization and she can count objects to 15. She knows all her colors and shapes. We are working on days of the week and seasons, but I decided I wanted to do a fun learning activity at breakfast every morning, so I bought her a United States place mat map. We have been learning her states for about 3 weeks now and I think she probably reliably knows about 30! I have a video. It is a little long so if you only watch the first few minutes you get the idea... We are so proud of her! She starts preschool in a few weeks, and I am excited for her to learn even more!

Tim's Mom Comes for a Visit

Tim's mom was here for a visit for about 5 days. We took a walk around Silver Lake, took Ellasen to the new Rochester Children's Museum, and went to the RAC pool. We had a great time. Carol brought Ellasen a pink golf set so she could play just like daddy! It is really cute!

Random Cuteness

The County Fair

The fair was in town a few weeks ago, and we managed to get there a few times. Ellasen loved the baby animals and the rides! Tim and I love the fair food. Ellasen even got to play a game and win a stuffed animal!

4th of July

Ellasen had a great time on the 4th of July this year! She wasn't really thrilled about the fireworks last year, but this year she thought they were great. She even held sparklers and threw poppers. She kept asking for more fireworks. I didn't take a ton of photos, but here are a couple.

The Griffith Father's Day

Tim was on call for Father's Day this year so even though we got to visit him at the hospital for a little while it seemed like we needed to do more! Ellasen and I took him to the cities for lunch, beers at a local brewery and a Twins game. We had a great time, but I only took this one photo!

Silly Girl

Ellasen was having some dessert the other night while I was in the other room putting laundry away. I was talking back and forth with her and all of the sudden I realized she was quiet for a minute. This is what I found when I came out...

She had made herself comfortable and used the left over chocolate from her ice cream cone to "paint" her limbs! Even the bottoms of her feet were covered in chocolate. Needless to say she went straight into a bath, but I couldn't help taking a few photos!

Father's Day

At the hospital  :( Tim was working so we brought him some dinner. We got to spend a little time with him at least!

Visitors!

In the same week that we went to visit family in Michigan, my aunt and uncle came to visit us in Rochester. We were only home for one day before they came. We had a great time, but I didn't take any pictures really.  Here are the couple I got!

First Haircut

Disclaimer: I cut Ellasen's bangs a few times before this, but this was her first time in the chair! She did great, and she looks so much better!
