3 and 1/2 Years Old!

It is that time again! Time for the 6 month post! Ellasen is 3 1/2 years old! Hard to believe that we are already writing this entry. Time is still flying by for us. Ellasen is much more of a kid these days than a toddler. She knows exactly what she wants to do and how she wants to do it. She can pretty much do anything you ask her to do. She has tons of energy, but she can sit for long periods of time to read books or do art projects. She reminds us regularly that she is not a baby any more! She continues to amaze us with how verbal she is. We often have conversations that leave us shaking our heads in disbelief. She definitely has a routine she likes, and she gets frustrated when she can't do something by herself, but she is also weirdly easy going. She transitions very well with big events. We sold our house recently and moved into an apartment, and she never missed a beat, sleeping through the night right away. I think part of the reason she can be flexible is because she really understands what is happening for the most part. If we just take the time to explain things to her she will generally go with the flow. We absolutely love being her mommy and daddy, and we thank God every day that she belongs to us!

At 3.5 years old Ellasen:

Sleeps 11-12 hours a day (8-8)
Takes a 2.5 hour nap

Transportation Fair

Rochester has a Transportation Fair every year where they bring in all different kinds of transportation for the kids to check out. The weather was nice this year so we decided to go!

Toronto Vacation

Tim and I took a little trip to Toronto so he could present at a conference. The weather was pretty bad, but we had a nice time. I didn't take a ton of photos, but here is what I got!

First Time at the Dentist!

Ellasen had her first trip to the dentist the other day. She did a great job getting her teeth counted, brushed and flossed! She loved it! She even got to pick out a prize from the prize box after she was done. She picked out a monster truck of all things!

Spring Time Fun?

Well as most of you who live here in Minnesota know spring is usually a very nice season in this neck of the woods. Unfortunately this spring has been quite a different story. We had a few snow days in April as well as a day or two of sunshine and 70's. Now that we are into May there is a foot of snow on the ground, and Ellasen has missed yet another school day because of snow! We have been enjoying the weather on the few days it has been nice, and we are scrambling for indoor activities for the multitude of colder days. Here are some photos of the fun we have been having.
