Eden and Everly 19 Months

Well, we are in the home stretch to the big second birthday! Eden and Everly are very busy and active these days. They love to run and chase each other! Walking, running, climbing and dancing are the activities these little monkeys like best these days. Eden is keeping up with Everly really well now. She is really just a step or two behind usually. Everly is a little steadier on her feet, but Eden has a lot of confidence now. All this activity wears me out, but these little energizer bunnies just keep going...usually in separate directions! This month they have really started to understand directions. I can give a pretty specific direction (go put that on the table, come here and find the pink one) and they can follow it. That has been helpful. They still don't always follow directions obviously, but it helps to know that they understand some things. We have been enjoying the heat by playing on the water table, swimming at the pool, and taking walks in the stroller. We are working on walking up and down a few steps right now. They love to practice this!

Here are a few things we notice about the girls together:
*Size 12-18 month clothes
*Size 3 diapers
*Sleep 7-7:30
*Nap 12:45-3/3:30
*Love books (especially lift the flap books) and blocks
*Love to carry around bags of things (I remember this about Ellasen too)
*Love to be "free" (Out of the playroom/crib/car seat with room to run)
*Babble back and forth a lot
*Say probably 75-100 words
*Can put 2 (sometimes three) words together
*Are obsessed with Ellasen and Tim
*Want to be held by Daddy as soon as he comes home
*Love when Daddy plays "Whee!" He basically flips them around all over...I don't really watch. yikes.
*Are learning about taking turns and sharing. Some days are better than others.
*Love to shut toys inside something and then ask us to "open, open, open"
*Love music

Here are a few things we notice about Eden:
*Weighs just under 20 lbs
*Super proud of herself for walking
*Likes milk more than food and continues to be a picky eater
*Loves Gunner
*Likes dolls of any kind
*Favorite foods are turkey sausage and yogurt
*Favorite song is "Wheels on the Bus"

Here are some things we notice about Everly:
*Weighs just over 20 lbs
*Likes to race or be chased
* Loves food and will eat pretty much anything I give her
*Does not love Gunner really at all these days
*Likes to throw a ball
*Favorite foods are rice/quinoa and apples
