December 2022

 We started this month with some special visitors! Aunt Di and Uncle Dave came through for a visit on their way to Florida for the winter. We went to the aquarium and spent a lot of time hanging out and catching up! 

We also celebrated my mom's birthday! 

We also celebrated the twins' birthday this month! I took Eden, Everly, and two of their friends to Atlanta for an overnight! We went out to dinner, got dressed up, went to the Fox Theatre to see Anastasia the Musical and stayed in a fancy hotel. We had the best time celebrating these two. 

We also had a family birthday party for these cuties! So much fun! 

This month we had a lot of fun celebrating the holidays too! We decorated the best we could in the middle of all the construction, we saw Santa, and Jennie came! The twins did a "Holiday Traditions" presentation for class, and Ellasen had her holiday cotillion class. 

Instead of exchanging gifts this year the Durr Family and ours went to Dahlonega for dinner, a sleigh ride, and hot chocolate while looking at the lights. We all agreed it was so much better than gifts and we plan to make it a yearly tradition! 

Tim and I hosted his office Christmas dinner at Roaring Social, a 20's style speakeasy. We had so much fun getting a little dressed up and treating his amazing staff and their spouses to a night out! 

Then it was time to decorate Christmas cookies! We invited the Durrs to do that with us too since their kitchen is being renovated. Grandma arrived so we were ready to officially celebrate Christmas. 

Finally, it was Christmas Eve! We did all our family traditions like putting out reindeer food, putting out cookies and milk for Santa, and reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. 

Christmas Morning! 

We invited the Durrs for Christmas dinner also! We LOVED having them join us, and they made the holiday even more special!

We had a ton of work happen at the house this month. We can't believe what a difference we have seen. The pool is filled! We love how the color turned out. The pool house is framed and the fence is installed. The landscaping is starting to go in and the gas lanterns are up! The circle drive has started also! Inside the fireplace finished just in time for Christmas! The shower doors have been installed also. 

For New Year's Eve, we had the Cooks and the Durrs over! We watched the UGA game (Go DAWGS! - pulled it out at the literal stroke of midnight!) and celebrated all together! 

We had a great 2022 and we can't wait to see what 2023 brings our way!
