Family Photos

We had family photos taken the other day by my fabulously talented friend Rachel Sviggum. She is great! Ellasen was awful for the photos though. We did them outside, and it was probably a little too late in the year for outdoor photos because it was a little cold. She cried unless she had her winter coat on and we were holding her. My plan was to get some good 2 year old shots of her before we took family photos. I brought props and hats. Oh the best laid plans... Rachel was nice enough to send me a sneak peak of the first couple she edited to show me that despite everything she managed to capture a few good images.

Thanksgiving Travels!

Our little family made the long drive to Michigan to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family this year. It was a whirlwind trip, but we had a great time! It was so good to see everyone!

Ellasen is opening birthday presents with my parents

 My brother made these felt boards and all the animals that go with it! Awesome!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at our cousin's restaurant. We had a little birthday party for Ellasen after dinner with Elmo Everything!

On another day of our trip we visited my grandma and grandpa, Ellasen's Gigi and Gramps. They had a special present to give to Ellasen - a growth chart my grandpa made for her. It was so special. My grandfather is a great artist, and his work is on display right now in a one man show so I took some photos of that as well. 

4 Generations! 

We also spent some time at my aunt and uncle's house! We even managed to snap some family photos

 Then it was bath/snuggle time...and a little nap on the car ride home to Rochester.
