Eden and Everly 23 Months!

So I am a little late on this one! We have had company and have been planning and executing a big sister's birthday party so we are a little behind! This is the last monthly post before the twins turn 2! These two are a whirlwind of energy, ideas, volume, silliness, wants, needs and love. Most of the days I feel like two tornadoes have spent the day buzzing around my feet all day long. They sweet and sensitive and cuddly one minute and fighting, screaming balls of frustration the next. We are definitely entering the terrific twos. They continue to be very different from one another in many ways. This makes certain things harder (like meal planning and sleep schedules) and certain things easier (like cuddles and sharing). Both girls are talking and understanding more and more every week. This month for the first time I have felt like I could take them to the playground alone without another adult.

It is basically impossible to get a good picture of the girls by themselves let alone together. The minute one looks up the other does a belly flop. This was the best I could do this month!

Here are some things we notice about the girls together:
*They sleep from 7-7:30
*Nap from 1-3:30
*Love to play in their playroom or the playroom at the gym
*Like to do things themselves (shoes/socks etc)
*Are pretty good with a spoon and fork
*Love to listen to books and music
*Love to dance
*Love Ellasen and all her toys
*Love Minnie Mouse, Elmo, Animals and Dora

Here are some things we notice about Eden:
*She is still a pickier eater
*Her favorite foods are pasta, crackers, yogurt, milk, cheese and strawberries
*She loves television
*She really has no fear...she is full speed ahead most of the time
*She loves to dance
*She will sit for a long time to play with some thing she is interested in
*Wants whatever toy Everly has

Here are some things we notice about Everly

*She is in constant motion always jumping or running
*She loves food and her favorites are too many to count
*She is not a fan of turkey dogs
*She loves to do silly things to make people laugh
*She wants to be held all the time
*She loves big kids and will often ask about Ellasen or neighborhood older kids
*She loves to color
*She shares nicely most of the time
*She gets bored of television after a minute or two
*She loves to "hide" from mommy and run around my kitchen island

These two are a constant flurry of activity, but we wouldn't have it any other way! As soon as Thanksgiving is over we are going to plan a little party to celebrate these two turning two!!
