We had a HUGE April! The weather has been so good, and we have been taking full advantage! We had so much going on this month it was hard to even keep track of everything. We had spring break, the twins' first trip to the dentist, Ellasen starting swim team, a visit from my brother and nephew, big girl beds for the twins, glasses, 2 Braves games, Easter, Atlanta Steeplechase ( a Kentucky Derby style horse race), family pictures. an annual girls' trip for me and so much more!
Spring Break was the first week of April. We didn't go out of town so I did my best to make sure the girls had a great time doing something fun every day.
We did cupcakes and new sunnies one day
We painted pottery another day
Eden and Everly got big girls beds! Sort of. We took the front off their cribs to see how they would do. They have done great!
The girls are asleep in the exact same position
Eden finds herself in some funny positions at night!
We had family pictures taken in our house for the Laurel Springs monthly magazine. I am excited to see how the cover turns out, but here are a few of our options.
I celebrated a friend's 40th birthday party! Not sure how I feel about this, but the party was fun!
Ellasen and Everly got glasses! Eden got some too, but hers don't have a prescription. She just wanted to be like her sisters!
Easter was a ton of fun! We dyed and hunted eggs, opened baskets and then joined Tim at the Braves game...our first one at the new Suntrust Park.
My brother and nephew came for a visit. Elias is one day younger than the twins. We had the best time!
This is pretty much how Elias looked at Ellasen the whole trip
We took a picnic to the park one day
We went to the splash fountain one day and out for pizza!
We went to a Braves game too. I forgot my phone and asked the guys to take some pictures. The one below is the only one I got from them though. We had a great time though!
These three...oh my gosh.
We went to the aquarium too!
We ate lunch by the beluga whales. It was incredible!
Uncle Jason explaining to Ellasen how coral is formed.
Jason, Tim and I took an adult day on Saturday to go to Atlanta Steeplechase. Our friends had a tent and we had a blast getting dressed up, drinking mint juleps and watching the horses!
The twins had their first trip to the dentist this month! They did a great job!
Ellasen started swim team practice for our new neighborhood this month. She loves it!
The twins didn't have their suits the first day of swim team practice so they were supposed to just get their feet wet. That rule worked well for Everly, but Eden always pushes the envelope.
Here are some more cute pictures from our month! I still can't believe we crammed that much into 30 days!
Ellasen wrote me this note one night after the twins got big girl beds asking for them to sleep in her room . "They're growing up so fast!"
Ellasen's class
Eden always marches to the beat of her own drum
Ellasen wore the same shirt as a friend at school. They were excited and asked their teacher to take a picture!
The daycare worker at the gym took these next sweet photos. The boy is Griffin, he is the girls' best friend at the gym.
The girls had their eyes dialated for their eye exam. They thought these glasses were hilarious!
We usually do dinner with the Hornsbys on Mondays. One Monday this month we had a pizza night with a playdate in their cul-de-sac
Ellasen's first field trip to the Center for Puppetry Arts
The month ended with my annual Girls' Trip for the Ortho Wives Club from our time in Rochester. We get together every year for a long weekend. We explore a new city and catch up with one another. It is one of my favorite times of the year! These girls made residency so much more enjoyable, and I am so glad to have them in my life! This year we did Charleston, SC. We did a beach and spa day and a shopping and sightseeing day. We stayed at a beach house on Sullivan's Island. We ate great food and got caught up on everything new in our lives.
