November 2020

I started this month with an unexpected trip up to Michigan. My grandpa took a turn for the worst, and it was time to say goodbye. I got there just in time to give him a hug and tell him I love him before he passed. We also made sure to let him know that we would take care of my grandma. He was a wonderful man and I will miss him so much. I took many photos during this time, but I'll only be sharing a few here because they are so private and personal. We were able to get in and see my grandma which was wonderful given the circumstances.

When I got home our sweet friends dropped off a gift for the girls. It was a children's book about grief and some supplies to make memory boxes and their Gramps. It was so therapeutic to just spend some time in our memories and photos of him. It was a very thoughtful gift.

While I was gone the girls attended their friend Ellie's birthday celebration. We haven't been seeing many people, but we have spent some time with the Cook's so they just had our girls over to help Ellie celebrate. The girls had a great time.

When I got back it was time to celebrate Ellasen's 11th birthday! We opted to not have a party for obvious reasons, but we did have one friend over for a late over! They made and decorated birthday cakes and painted clocks for their rooms. We ate pizza and watched a movie with popcorn. So much fun!

After her late over it was time to celebrate her actual birthday!! We started the morning with a donut cake and a surprise visit from Nana. Then we had the family over that night for Ellasen's favorite dinner and cake and presents.

She wanted a "Donut" cake

After Ellasen's birthday it was time to concentrate on Thanksgiving prep! I love to cook Thanksgiving dinner and decorate the house for fall. The meal turned out delicious!

We also had a visit from Santa this month! He came right to our porch! Since we were all dressed up we decided to take a few pictures of the girls also.

After Thanksgiving it was officially time to get ready for Christmas! We love to decorate for the holidays over here and this year it was very hard to wait until after Thanksgiving to do it. I'll upload more next month of all our decorations, but here we are getting our trees!

Here are a few more random pictures from this month!

Braces!!

We can't wait for December! We get to celebrate Nana's birthday, Eden and Everly's birthdays and Christmas!
