December 2020

 We had a great December! We had so much fun decorating the house this year all together as a family. We went big this year with several trees and extra lights outside. Seeing all of our decorations all month long made everyone jolly! 

Once we decorated for Christmas our elf, Jennie showed up! She arrived from the North Pole this year in a hot air balloon. During this month she did lots of silly and funny things! She hid in the fridge, she had a snowball fight with friends, she was our official cookie taster, she had a "sister sleepover" with the girls, she brought Eden and Everly birthday gifts, she shrunk all our stockings, and she showed us how to socially distance! We had a great time with Jennie this year! 

One thing Jennie did was bring letters for us to write to Santa! 

This year Santa actually wrote us back!!

We baked so many cookies this year! We had a great time with all of our baking days, and an even better time delivering our goodies to neighbors. 

Among all the Christmas celebrations we also celebrated three birthdays! My mom's, and Eden and Everly's. We had so much fun celebrating! 

Finally it was Christmas Eve! Jennie brought us our reindeer food and laid out our Twas the Night Before Christmas book to read. We laid out cookies and milk for Santa and opened one gift.

Overnight Santa came!!

Finally, it was Christmas morning! The kids spent the whole day in their pajamas and we had a wonderful day! 

We had a very different New Year's Eve this year. We stayed home as a family and celebrated with just our little crew. We made a lot of food, watched a movie, did an early countdown with the kids and kissed on our couch at midnight. We had a great time! 

We had a few setbacks this month as well. Our tree tipped over...luckily we got it standing again! 

And Tim had a terrible car accident this month. He was very close to not coming home to us, and we are so thankful he is ok!

The girls have all gotten really good at riding their bikes this month! Ellasen is totally independent and Eden is almost there! Everly is close too!

We are excited to see what 2021 brings, and we are hopeful that things might get back to a new kind of normal in the coming months. We are so hoping to travel more and spend time with friends and loved ones again in 2021. All in all we have been very blessed this month in so many ways. We have our health, a new puppy and we have each other. Not too shabby really. Here's to 2021 and a brighter and better new year!
